Back alive
« on: November 25, 2006, 11:01:16 AM »

Hi Forum people,

I lost the road to this forum due to busy business. I am still busy but a new development might make me come back often. Perhapas just only to brag, perhaps even looking for some discussion.
At my last visit in USA I got two puppies from Stahlrosenhof: Loki and Major Tom.

I met Loki first. Loki is a daughter of Funky with Asra.

I was really pleased with Loki. We decided she will stay in Ohio and be trained in SAR. But main reason is a future breeding with Virago 'The White Ghost'.

Then I met Major Tom. That was such a great moment. First time since very long I came up to a pup and just sat down to look to the pup and enjoyed. Major Tom had some attitude, some aura and something extra which is hard to explain.  I knew then this will be my own dog.
I brought Major Tom with me back to Holland. Every day he still does surprise me. Awesome.

I had a great time in USA to see my trained dogs back at seminar. Eppo 'The Squirrel' does great: she does run up a wall to bite decoy up the ceiling. Highest jump was about 4 metres 15. To hear story and see video and pictures of a chase of a motorcycle and Bella deployed to a standing motorcycle who then took off (2 metres) with Bella hanging on his leg. An succesfull deployment.
Yes, cool to see all dog to be top dogs.

But Major Tom. He is way too special. he will be my dog !!

BTW: Major Tom is son of Othar PdT and grandson of Funky.

Some can make it to become Major. Some just are born Major.  police Afro

You will salute him when you come to meet him: just as if natural !!

Hi Teus,

Welcome Back!  Is Major Tom a Terv or Mali as his coat seems to be a bit longer.

Hi Teus,
Welcome Back!  Is Major Tom a Terv or Mali ...

It's all in the eye of the beholder !!  angel

Major Tom is a Malinois with a good coat.  Afro
Absolutely not a long haired Malinois.
And far from a Tervuren.

Found few pictures ... shows a shorthaired malinois and an ugly longhaired malinois:

Another longhaired malinois:

A good coat is in between but the line between nice and ugly is very thin !

The picture of Conan (owner Peter Branch -UK-) as ugly dog had to be removed ... mambo jambo about copyrights and something more I guess  Lips Sealed

The other picture is Delta from Stahlrosenhof Kennel.

(( pictures put on the internet is yet public .. but okay ... ))

Both Malinois out of Funk to Funky ... Funky did create those 2  ugly long haired versions.
