Dogs love their friends & bite their enemies- quite unlike most people, who are uncapable of pure love & always have to mix love & hate...
how is everyone? i have a 5 yo groenendael bitch named Chyla. I got her when she was about 9 months old.. not sure exactly.... i was walking along a street in my neighboorhood about 4 years ago when i saw her tied up to the back of some guys ute on about 2 feet of chain, being beaten up by his 2 Huskies, so i just walked up and bought her on the spot........ Then i gave the guy a bollockin... Just couldnt stand to leave her there..... She was an absolute mess..... her coat was ragged and dirty and she was as skinny as a rake because the gey didnt feed her properly and she was really timid on just about everything...... even cats!! but 4 years or so later and she is now a beautiful, affectionate dog, and far from timid!!
i have tried to track down where she came from without much success, which breeder etc, but it doesnt really matter that much to me..... she is my sons best friend, along with her partner in crime, a 4 yo Roan heeler, and the pair of them are absolutley ball obsessed.... and she dances too!!
she is great with kids... any kids... doesnt matter whos.... she just loves to play.....
I literally just joined today! I live in northeastern Oregon and started with collies, but like another poster, I wanted a breed with a bit more oomph for obedience competition. So after working with a couple of rescue groenendahls, I now have:
Razz, almost 12, Grafin's Mr. Big, a Buddy van Lana Hof grandson, rally guy Josi, now 8, Allure's Mountainsong Reverie, demo and therapy extraordinaire and Kismet, a Terv, almost 2, who is Ravenmasque Vedis Mountainsong.
Razz and Kismet are both really Canadians. . . After the first of the year we're expecting a new baby black dog, from a breeding here in the U.S. A boy, if all goes as planned.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
I live near San Francisco California. I'm now on my third Belgian, my other two lived to ripe old age. One even made it to 16.5 yrs. I now have a 7 month old boy: Wild de Diablo and I'm very happy with him. He's exactly what I'd hoped for, and everything is falling into place physically. He looks like he may have acquired the best traits of both parents, so I'm excited to see what happens when we start showing at the end of this month. Though, I wish I wasn't so rusty, it's been about 15 years since I last showed breed. It's like learning it all over again.
Hello everyone, I am from Czech and I am new here. I also own one groenendael female, she is now almost 9 years old, her name is Pandy (Black Hawkwind´s Pandora) and she is imported from Norway. She is actually my second female, the first one was from Czech intervariety breeding Bessy Cerna slonovina. She died at 14 years age (1992). Pandy is fantastic female, she has perfect temper and in my eyes lovely exterier but she has unfortunately epilepsy, so our activities are a bit limited. Anyway we plan new puppy - for sure groenendael lady in close future. So if anyone has some type for honest good breeder from all over the world, please let me know. Jana

Hi my name is Sue,, I live in the UK I have a 16month Groen boy Cassis ( Delark Dark Secret)
He is a beautiful boy, quite tall and when he is mature hopefully be quite impressive, at the moment he needs to grow some more coat. He is at the gangly stage all legs, He is mad on agility slow but precise, looks at everything before he attempts it. He is also very laid back and clam about most things. I also have 2 tervs a 7yr male and 4yr female
We all live in a small village, with plenty of dog walking close at hand. This looks a really interesting site, looking forward to more posts. Have a Happy Christmas to all Belgians and there owners
