Decided this would be a good place for me to come and learn/join in discussions about the roughs..
I have had Belgians since 1994. Started with Tervurens and then moved on to the Malinois which I still have. A couple of weeks ago, Justice a 7 month old Laekenois from Winjammer kennels in Michigan, USA came to hang out with and he is fitting in perfectlly up here in Canada
We have begun his bitework foundation and hope that he will make the grade as a sport dog one day. So far so good.. Tracey
Justice is to my administration a son of Upsilon and Venice. He is a very goodlooking dog, hopefully also willing to work with you. As I see the pictures he is doing so. Do you know, that there are more Laekenois in Canada?
We have four Laekenois at our kennel. We incidently breed them. If you are interested at our dogs, look at them at our website.
Hello Tracey, and welcome to this forum! Nice to see more Laeken owners around here! I own 2 of these gorgeous dogs myself, 2 females. The oldest is Yentl van de Schranshoeve, a.k.a. Sjefke. She is 6 years old now. The youngest is her daughter LongFields Nueva Esperanza Nozem, or Nozem for short. She is 2 years old.
Nice picture of your dog with the sleeve! I always like it when people do these kind of things with their dog. One of the pups out of my first litter, LongFields Boyo Baldwin, is doing defense work too. He really really likes that! I have pictures of him in the archive of my web-log http://laekenseherders.web-log.nl. There you can also find all information about my upcoming litter, Sjefke is due at May 16th. When you'd like you can also take a look at my website http://www.laekenseherder.nl.
I can recommend also http://www.laekenzine.com, you probably know this site already, but there are lots of pictures of all kinds of Laekenois there.
welcome to this forum. Nice to see another laeken lover
I own two wired bitches, Ceridwen (Carrie) and Chira des Fauves de Saline. Some pictures of them are on our homepage (witch is not ready) www.laekenpower.de
Greetings from Germany Alex
PS: Because of the fact that my english isn't so good, my postings are mostly a little bit short.

Hi Tracey welcom to this forum, in Canada is a nice kennel for laekenois. It is the kennel from Alex Saunders in Kingston. He is having puppy's at the moment, aproxinally 4 weeks old.
I am working with mine laekenois to, i am training for IPO. Do you have any exeprience with training dogs? Alex has!
Thanks for all the replies and links to websites. Looks like this variety is in good hands!
I do have some experience with training, my first dog was a Pit Bull who I put a SchH 3 on, I put a SchH A on a more traditional GSD, plus many BHs on dogs in the past 10+ years. I am trialing my SchH 2 Malinois(my boyfriend put his titles on him up to this point) in 2 weeks and hoping that if he does pass I can begin to train him in Belgian Ring. I am a brand new member of the NVBK and look forward to trying something a bit different with the dogs after their SchH careers are over.
I live with in a few hours of Alex so maybe our paths will cross one day.
Hello Tracey!? I am also in Canada with a Winjammer Laekenois.? My girl is a Upsilon X Venice girl.? Her name is Wren, CH Winjammer's Under the Wire.? She is doing very well in the Breed ring here.? Where we live, we have no Ring or Schutzhund.? I wish we did, as I would very much like to compete in the protection sport venues.

did you know of the Laeken Funday in Holland? I suppose you was there last weekend? The breeder of your dog was there with his dogs! What is the name of your dog and when is it born. I suppose his/her parents are Pelsens Tazan II and Mc William's Nikita.
