Hi...just thought I'd introduce myself for those that didn't already know me from the other laekenois lists. My name is Karen and I live in South Eastern Australia on 2.5 acres with my horse, cat, staffy X, Belgian Tervueren and Belgian Laekenois. I stumbled across this forum and thought it would be a fantastic place to discuss everything laekenois. I wish everyone a wonderful 2006. It is very hot here at the moment...yesterday was 38 degrees and today we expect 42 degress so the boys are really enjoying playing in the dam and being hosed. I look forward to chatting with everyone. Karen Ps I was going to include a couple of photos of my boys but can someone tell me how to? Sorry about my late response, I have been very busy over christmas. Thankyou for the info about the pictures...it makes perfect sense now that you have explained it . I am in the middle of getting a website up and running so when that is finished I will post some pictures of my boys. My laekenois is BISS Ch Lanaken Ruff N Ready (IID)(HIT)and is the first laekenois I have owned. What a joy he has been! Both in the show ring and out. Currently he is the only laekneois in Australia to have ever won BISS agains all 4 varieties and holds the record for laekenois for class in show and Best of Breed at the specialty level. I am so proud of him. Despite that though, he is the most loving Belgian I have known, very sensitive to my feelings and a wonderful "take anyway" companion. Any way enough of these ramblings and back to my wesbite! Karen
Welcome on this forum Karen, nice to see you here too! I really love your Laeken (as you know already!) It it nice to see a new Laeken owner on this list, for we are a minority here (and everywhere I guess... )
Thankyou guys....hopefully if we keep promoting the laekenois more people will see what a truly wonderful variety of Belgian the laekenois is. I look forward to participating in some good discussions. Karen
