For all of you who were wondering whether Albert (as mentioned in the post on the head standard) is a terv or a Mali:

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
That is how I remember that Albert, too. But I bet they had more Alberts in the police than just one, but that one I've thought to be the mostly known. And yep, that's a terv!

Awesome. My friend who has a huge collection of magazines about Malinois told me he even does have a picture and drawing of Albert which is way different than your picture. I hope to find the stories of Albert with drawings and pics one day. The stories indeed tells about a Tervuren or a kind of long haired dog looking as Tervuren.
I like this picture !!
((To Jeni: Albert is known as the first official Police dog in Holland. So impossible to find more 'Albert' of that time. There could be some more 'Albert' trained inside first years of KNPV program but then definitely after 1917 but then wouldn't be called The Albert.))
