"The day I will land a foot in UK again is unthinkable for there are too many morons { } out there." That's a shame Teus, I know we are a bunch of? morons but someone's got to help us . Its on my to do list, to have some training days with you, it looks like I'm going to have to save my pennies, and come in a disguise so you don't realise I am a moron.
Training with sheep is going well, we have been taking small baby steps with high repetition. It has created a good point of focus for me and Koru, I have been applying the same small steps approach, within all the areas of? training, it is working well.? I have started see the dog likes to work, in patterns.? I know this is obvious but I did not realise it in the way I do now.
Like always Teus I appreciate your thoughts, from the land of morons Ian

Only by knowing ourselves will we truly know our dogs.
1.) Johan---- Thank you I think you understand exactly what I am trying to say.
2.) I stuck my foot in my mouth a little about the herding comment( went out of my area of expertise) but I did not say they could not do it just that for quite a while now that is not what they have been bred for. One of the principles of canine breeding and behviour lies in what the dog is breed to do, right?
Ian, I would love to discuss more my analogy of the 3 year old girl to the sheep. i got on my soapbox and my main concern may have gotten lost.? My major concern is if you didn't think your dog would chase sheep, you might not think he will see a small child as a prey object. It is important to me that you understand that a high prey drive dog that chases sheep can very easily view a small child as a prey object.? I just wante to make that clear and please be safe with your dog around children. I am sorry if my passion clouded my response.

No I have not. I have been way busy with the hiring process for my job. It is a long and stressful process. I do think I still have the number written down though. Thanks.
