Bundessieger Zuchtschau Dortmund
« on: October 17, 2005, 12:29:31 PM »

On Saturday October 15 the Herding Group was judged at the Bundessieger Zuchtschau in Dortmund.
I went there with Nozem, together with a Han Busser and his dog Pelsens Xercos Fugazi. I spent the weekend at Han and Mirjam Busser's house, and Han and I travelled to Dortmund from their house together.

I had a very good day, got a nice judge report and Nozem got 1 - Excellent - CAC/CACIB and the title Bundessieger 2005!

She didn't get the BOB because this time the male won (and deserved to): Aramis Var Letsager, bred by Han and Mirjam Busser. This is the male I have used (unfortunately with no result this time) on Sjefke this Spring. He is a very handsome and well-charactered boy.

Once again, we got lots and lots of questions from the visitors of the show about our dogs. We also went to a breed-presentation to show our Laekens to the public.  That was a nice thing to do as well!

So, both Han and myself had a very good day. It was very sad that our judging wasn't finished by the time the ring of honour had already started, so Aramis didn't make it to the group judging final. I think that isn't a good thing at all, I heard that there were more breed winners who didn't get to the ring of honour on time. Bad organization unfortunately.

Congratulations to the dogs and owners.

It is a pity that you did not get to the ring of honour. In portugal the 1st group final does not start until all the breeds judgements is over. This because those who do not go to the final loss the CAC/CACIB they got on the breed judgement. So the BOB have to stay for the 1st group final and off course the organization can not star the final without finishing the breed judgements.

Hi Suzanne,

It seems like bad organiszation is common practice in Germany.  I was in Rostock at 09/10 (got CAC CACIB VDH-ChA and BOB) with Yentos and a BC.  Group 1 judging had already finished and when I returned for the judging of the BC, it became clear that I still had plenty time to prepare the BC for her individual judging.

By the time BCs were judged BIS was chosen.

Anyway congratulations on your results.

I think that is a very bad thing with the judging at German shows...
But thanks for the congratulations!

I also discovered I could have got an extra "pokal" (don't know if this is the right word in english, but this is the German word for it) for the title of Bundessieger 2005. The card I needed to get one was somewhere with the other papers I got there. But since we got it at the end of the day, I didn't check these papers out from top to bottom until I was already at home (1 day later and 2,5 hours drive).
So I sent the VDH an e-mail about that, if I could get the "pokal"  after all. Well, that is possible, but it's going to cost me 13,50 euros to send it to me...  Idiot2
So that will be a very expensive one!

First congratulations with the very good result, second the same thing happend with me three years ago in Kassel both asweel as my Ginno as Queeny did won CAC etc.....and Ginno got BOB so off to the ring of honour and we were 10 minutes to late, we had to walk for 10 minutes from ring of judging to the ring of honour, such a shame that such things happen more often in Germany.

And in Rostock the BIS dog wins 1000€.  The great Japanese won the money but was he the BIS??? Anyway, I got what I came for and that was my 4th point so only one to go.

Herman,

Will you be going to Hannover?

No all show plans are cancelled for this year because of the high costs of my divorce,
but next year I hope to be back for showing my Blitz at 2 or 3 shows.
