The picture of that tracking field made shivers go down my spine. That is every competitor's nightmare. Whoever survived tracking should be congratulated! And those that failed should be consoled.
The same kinda field was in Finland on championships 1995. The one tracking 100 pts (Michiko Yamaguchi) was training at Hyvink?? on my fields (even more uneven ) and as the results show, succesfully. She was bit of a shock to see the fields, because she and Ikuo told that they basically trained on golf courses in Japan back then. I've been tracking on those fields for 12 years, so I know what it is like. If your dog knows what tracking is, it will do it easily. If you yourself start to decide, where the track goes, that's about it (been there, done that )
I think I pack my stingnose Nelli in the car and go and do some serious tracking. Trying to maintain my own balance in there.

Coffee and love are something you just can't warm up again.
Hahhah I live in Uppsala which is known for its really hard clay. Done some tracks to Warga on fields like that and it's fun if you dont bother about having several kilos of clay stuck under your boots At least Warga tracks really slow and carefully then and the most amusing thing to see is when she tries to shake off clay from her hindlegs at the same time as she moves forward in the track, well she's a female so she can do 2 things at the same time
