A small post to tell Estonian seminar is over and was perfect... busy and full of joy. I will go back to Estonia for sure.... I have nothing but very BIG respect for the Estonian girls who could make this all work and run perfectly. I even went to a dog show?
This posting I write in Helsiki now. Very funny if you think about .... (time left over and found internet connection....so.... )
Tomorrow, when back home..I will dig throught the pictures and post a collection.
It was VERY busy week for sure! We had LOTS of fun! Problems that raised were easy to solve and everything was just great overall! Feedback from people here is only great great great! People keep asking when Teus comes back....
First day here was only fun and no work. I am admin in an Estonian dog forum and we had our forum summerdays. Teus and Falco ended up in the middle of playing dogs, relaxing people and strange fun competitions. Am sure Falco still can't understand how carpets can walk - he met male comondor who looked exactly as walking carpet!
Next days were mix of fun and different training classes - policedogs, protection, agility, SAR, obedience.... you name it, we did it! Plus lots of fun like walking around in famous Tallinn old town, visiting rescue center for wild animals etc. We had also special entertainment - car accient. Nothing too serious but enough to cause me heart attack (almost). Just an idiot couldn't find breaks and hit us from behind. Teus can tell you - don't drive in this country, people here are crazy!
Training classes were all full. Totally full and people were constantly calling! Last obedience class was overbooked (organizing mistake that couldn't be changed any more) and became too busy. I really felt sorry for Teus but he was fantastic as always.
I am totally exhausted and still can't believe all this really happened! Funny result is - will go to my very first agility class tonight. Fell in love with agility last week....
BTW... some people asked about Police in Estonia.?
facts: -I wasn't there to do training or show off: just to introduce myself.
--------------------
**first we got sightseeing tour at K9 centre. I got information about them and they got information about me. **I was asked to sleeve decoy a Malinois? (young one, raised and trained by officer) and give feedback. --excellent trained dog. was much better trained than most KNPV dogs I know !!-- **as addiction I decoyed for an 7 years old female Malinois. --That dog did match like the great K9 from Savannah, Georgia.--
**I was asked questions and thus we went inside and had a long session where I explained difference between sport dogs versus real life dog, how I do train them and such. Good coffee and cookies !! **In addition on that I explained the theory on field with Falco. **Little problem solving as usual (GSD).
That's it.
Maybe in future projects will run out.?
However:? I can tell right now it's not done to make video and pics inside that K9 centre.
