Portuguese Special 2005
« on: July 04, 2005, 10:50:53 AM »

The portuguese Special will be held in Estoril on the 21 and 22 of august. It will be on the same weekend as the Estoril International dog show, so in one weekend a dog can get 1 CAC + 1 CAC-QC + 1 CACIB. To become a portuguese Champion a dog must have 3 CAC + 1 CAC-QC + 1 EX at a CACIB show + 1 Ex at the Breed Special.

For more information please email cpcpb@sapo.pt to receive the program and entry forms or visit the club website at cpcpb.no.sapo.pt or the portuguese kennel club at www.cpc.pt

Dear Rui,

What does a CAC-QC stand for?

I would love to come, but the distance is a bit too far for me I guess.

The CAC-QC ia a title that you have to win to become portuguese champion. You can only get it at two portuguese shows, organized by the kennel club and also by the breed special. the QC means Qualificativo Campeonato (championship qualifier).

For Suzanne the distance is not that big, i have friedn from the netherlands comming with tervuerens and i had friends who breed shelties this past week at my house. And you can allways go from Portugal to the French special and then back home, it would be two wonderfull weeks of vacations  Wink Wink Wink Wink Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Well Rui, if I didn't have my vacation planned already, I could consider going to Portugal.
But I am going on vacation in September, and twice in 2 months isn't going to happen!  Wink
Besides that I am expecting both girls to be in heat about that time, so I am not taking the risk.
Maybe next year, when I know when the Special will be held earlier...  Smiley

Rui,

Is the Portuguese Specialty always that close to the French specialty?  Because then it is indeed a good idea to combine them and have a 2 week holiday.

Certainly an option for next year (together with all the other option).  I always plan my holidays around a show like I did this year in Sweden.

I think it would be a good option for next year too! But that is if I don't have puppies at that moment.

hi there the idea is exactly that to have the portuguese at the next weekend or the previous one of the french. Most certenalty it will be like that next years.

So do start to make planms for next year Wink from the portuguese special to the french is 17 hours driving. i will do that this year so i will tell you all later how the experience went.

Most certenatly it will be the weekend before, because then on the way to the french special people can then go home than to come to Portugal after the french special and then have to do all the way back without any stop.

Rui

P.S. - Soon the date for the next year will announced.
