Ok, I have heard so many things about dog food.  I want to open-it up to the forum.  What is the "cats meow" in the dog food world for my 4 month old female.l

well from a been there done that prespective. i was never once happy with kibble. after trying virtually over 2 dozens of "premium quality dog food" what a joke. i went to a raw diet. i have never been happier, and i think the dogs like it to.

Agree Gunny.? Raw has its merits.? I feed both, but without the raw, I don't think I'd be getting the health or the performance!

I agree Raw is the best. I have a 6 year old GSD that has had raw all her life, and a 16 month old Mal that was started on raw from the day I got him.

Hi!

I give my dog raw meat every day..and only because of that he is not slim anymore, he has gain weight very well. But only giving meat is not enough, so I also give him good dry food mixed with the raw meat.

I never give kibble with my raw diet. I don't feed only meat, the main food is chiken, bones, skin and meat. They also get vegitable and friut mash with vitamins. I also feed organ meat, usually beef so the dogs get at least 2 protine sources. Hope this helps

I change it up through the week. we use pre-made raw blend called bonchion (sp)
made by a guy locally here in san diego. it has beef muscle meat, bone shave, tripe, trachea, gullet in it, i will also put steak, chicken, lamb in it through out the week also, we may add our home made fruit and veggie blend. we add supplements to there diets also, vitamin e, alflapha, vitamin c, flax seed oil, glucossamine, chondrotin, msm. I will tell you all are dogs have benefited greatly, no gas, better teeth and breath, soft shiny coat, and i have 11 year old whom i feared was going to have to be pts because she was on the verge of going lame from arthritis and the raw diet hasn't made it go away but it has given her 10 times the mobility she had before. her stiffness after waking up was unbearable for her to even stand on. now it is just a slight limp for about 10 minutes after waking. she used to be on pain meds. have not had to give her any meds since starting raw. i think raw has put another 3-5 years on this dog. ahich makes me a believer out of me. go to the zoo and see what the animals eat, it ain't purina
