« on: May 05, 2005, 05:04:44 PM »

Hi!

Yesterday hunden got email from one of breeders with attached email and asked for translation of it because she thinks someone is really interested in her puppies.

She was really going for nigerian email scam. I am sure most of breeders know about this type of nigerian email scams.

Here is email that was sent:

Hi!

Well there is tons of emails like this one... ofcourse about other things..

Here are few links to things like that:

http://www.quatloos.com/scams/nigerian.htm
http://www.geocities.com/a_kerenx/

On second link you will find few letters that are recived by people. When something is too good to be true it usually is. It is one thing that they get away with money but dogs are something else since you never know what fate of this dogs will be.

Hello,
We have had a few of these as well.
Rest ashured that the scams we have heard of .The shipper has never come to get the dog..they just wait till you wire the money to their account for the difference. After they get your money through the wire transfer you never hear from them again. Then when their fake check is denied by the bank and comes back to you you are left holding the bag for the amount.

The checks are? printed with info from real banks so they look very real.

I have not heard of them ever showing up for the dog. Also if you send them your phone number and then dont send the money right away they will call you and bother you about it.

There is a site about a lady that trys to scam them back.
