Raven thanks for the link.. well i would like to know more, how many programs are there, what are the levels and so on. I have been reserching on the net but cant find anything.
isn't the program quite different in different countries?
In sweden you have three classes, 1,2,3 and elite
I can quickly tell about class 1:
First you have laying down and staying for 2 minutes, the dogs are put in a line 5 meters from eatchother and the owners walk away 20 meters (if I remember corerctly). After this the judge checks every dogs teeth while the dog is supposed to sit stil next to the owner.
The program starts with "fot" in leash. There is someone telling you when to start walking, when to stop and when to change direction, there is also running. The "competitionleader" (call him/her CL) always tell you what to do. After this you take the same thing without leash. In between every exercise you can pet the dog and tell him he was good, but you should have control of the dog and not too much playing. Then you have the same thing without leash. After this you have lay down, you walk some meters until CL tells you to command the dog and it should lay dawn as quickly as possible while you continue to walk forwards until the CL says stop and you go back to the dog who are not allowed to sit up before CL tells you to say sit. After this you leave the dog sitting and walk away like 20 meters until the CL says stop and wait until CL tells you to give command. You call for the dog and it has to run next to your side quickly (in sweden dog goes directly to "fot" position, not like in IPO when dog comes in front of you). Next exercise is standing on command, you walk and say "stand" and the dog has to stay standing and not taking any steps forwards while you continue walking. The last exercise is jump. The fence is set as high as the dogs size. You stand in front of the fence with your dog sitting next to you and command jump, when dog started you walk forward to catch up with the dog and say "fot". It is important that you dont start walking before dog takes off for jump. Last you get points for what impression you made on the judge (0 or 5-10), if the dog was very interested and happy and did everything quickly you get high points but if the dog wasnt interested and your program didnt look nice you get less points. You can get up to 200 points and different exercises give different amount. Every exercise gives 0 or 5-10 points which is multiplied with the coefficient fot the particular exercise. If you get at least 160 points (first price) then you can move to next level or stay in the same lever until you get first price three times so the dog gets the title LP 1 (obediencepricetaker class 1)
Class 2 I'm not too familiar with but there you have apport, laying in group for 3 minutes while owners not visible, sit and lay shifting without moving forwards or backwards, standing in middle of coming to you in "come" and sitting on the other side of fence at jump and then jump back.
Class 3 and elite just looks complicated to me and I don't really know what exercise is to what class but it is a big jump from class 2 to 3.
Hope I could give you some answer to your question
Hopsi thank you for your replay. I did manage to get some programs from the internet, but I still dont know what kind of different obediance programs are in Europe. I know there is english one, and I heard there is a belgian version... but what is really oficial FCI obediance? I know this year there is european winner 2005 in Austria, and I was wondering which type of obediance is this...
