I trialed at the new Service Dog Association Trial held in Leslie Michigan on April 23rd. This is the first Personal Protection Trial where the Titles will be placed on the UKC Pedigree.
My Dog Ranger placed High In Trial for the Family Obedience Title with our other dog Joker placing 2nd.
I entered the SDA 1 Obedience and attained 3rd place with Ranger.
Our dog Joker Placed High in Trial in the Protection Phase of the SDA1 Program, followed by my dog Ranger. There was .5 difference in pts.
We will be trialing Ranger for his FR1 and Joker for his Brevet later this year.
I handled both dogs in the trial and am very happy with the Results.

Leo, can you shoot me an email about the exercises involved, just a brief summary. I went to UKC's website, but damn, could they have made it anymore confusing to read? Thanks in advanced, and congradulations. Now come down this summer and get yourself an ASR title, you can never have to many right, LOL

Hey Chris, I just shot you the whole routine for the FO which is the same for the one except the one is all off leash.
I personally do not have any pics of the trial, I think I can get a copy of the video, and perhaps get some photos from it.
Maybe one of my club members took some pics. There was suppose to be a grey hound to try and obtain a title. I wish I could have seen it if it did show up.
The weather was bad, It was very cold, rain mixed with snow on Saturday. And two days earlier it was high 60's. Sunday's trial was in 4 inches of snow. So I really do honor those who went on Sunday.
I am hoping to learn the Level 2, and Level 3 portions so that I may be able to obtain those titles as well.
Thank you for posting the pictures, I have no idea on how to do so.
I cant wait to see the Level 2, and Level 3 portions of the trial. I also have heard they are actively writing a Tracking title, and a police certification.
I think I will be doing all of the working titles with my dog Ranger. I really hope this program takes off and more titles will be recongnized and placed on UKC Pedigrees.
