I think the "real working people" don't consider it as working, but I train my dogs for obedience and agility (just the oldest), and sometimes do some tracking.
I also show them, but I don't think that is "working" my dogs.

Same here,

I train and compete or will compete in obedience and flyball.  I used to train ring and a bit of agility.

Whether it is considered working or not I think depends on the person but both obedience and flyball take quiet some training to bring a dog to competition level.

I train NVBK belgian ring and hope one day to start competing with Coby

It's not only a question of liking it but also a question of necessity. If i don't train my dog for more than 10 days he becomes so nervous that accidents happen

Greetings

Johan

Since my mali is REALLY hyper, normally, I exercise her about an hour a day.? Usually, it's just me and her doing obedience, jumps and tugwork.? Sometimes, I get in the suit and my husband handles. If we're lucky and the road ain't closed,;) , about once a month we get together for two back to back days of group training and use another decoy while I handle. Once or twice a year, we bring out our friend and coach Rene Sagarra from Switzerland.? Otherwise we are on our own and do the best we can.? We've have 3 good MR1 trials, 1 good MR2 and hope to get our second MR2 leg at the end of this month.

When things are going well, it's fun training.
When things are difficult it does indeed feel like "work"

Best wishes,
Sharon
