We prepare ourself. The dog in front is Kay (my dog).
Some impression of the surface before the creek.
Here you see a fresh footprint and Kay figuring out where to go now. ((running tracklayer here !!)).
The disturbed gravel at the other side. On top there was a railroad track.
Kay managed to follow this track by himself without guidance. This track kept going for a while.... some railroad track, under the bridge, across asphalt and into some open area. We were very exhausted in the end !!
_I love to make pics at tracks. But it's so darn difficult to follow a dog through these low brush woods and make pics. I started to teach Kay to go down on command, take rest and have me make pics first. When finished he can go on with tracking at command. Where this need was mine, I learned Kay got pleased with this because he could take some breath, clean up his mind and start over fresh. Works perfect when you do 3+ miles tracking._
