New behavior shown by Tribu that started last night.  Now I am not sure if he is trying my patience, if he wants to tell me something and I am not getting it, or he is trying to dominant me.

Last night I called Tribu to me and when he got about a foot from me he looked right into my eyes and peed a very small puddle right where he was.  Just enough to wet the floor.  I thought I had imagine it but when I put him away, there was pee on the floor.  He did the exact same thing this morning!  So what do you make of this and how should I be handly this with him?

One more thing I find quite odd with Tribu's behavior is that if I call him to come to me there is no problem, he is happy to oblige.  If he decide to come to his own accord, he is still happy and cuddles up to me.  But if I am the one that approaches him then you can read his body language and it tells me that he is very uneasy about this, and is extremely tight.  His eyes have that certain untrusty look to them and even myself I sometimes question if I should continue to approach him or just call him to me.  Any ideas?

All of the above is part of the same problem. Just give him time, dont pressure him or test him. Leave him some time to fully adjust. And my advice leave training aside for awhile and focuse on resocialization or so called habituation and desensitization.

I adopted my Malinois from a shelter at 5-months old and it seems that she was abused by a man and clearly not socialized because she barked viciously at most guys and was extremely reactive when they would come near her.  God forbid i let a male in the apartment (she still has issues with that unless she knows and trusts them).  Anyway, she's much better now but what i found to be key here is exposing her to male friends and building up trust that way.  Introducing them oustide of the apartment, letting them walk her on the leash with me present, having a man acknowledge her but not try to pet her right away, having them feed her a treat.  This has all helped greatly, but there are still some men she will just never warm up to.  I look at it as a "management" situation now.  I would never consider giving her up so i try to make it as comfortable for her as possible:  i don't let men shove their hands in her face, i don't let them pet her unless i can see she's okay with it. I also take her to a doggy gym about once a week and that has worked wonders.  She associates positive experiences with the male workers there.  for some reason, she has no issues with them handling her, and these are men of all ethnic backgrounds.

Good luck!
