Although i use mostly home prepared food for my dog, I occasionally feed him kibble. I use Royal Canin, just recently tried Pro Pac (lamb&rice) and Nutro (lamb&rice).
Since a few years, I feed him Pro Plan chicken and before that I also feed him Royal Canin. But at a certain moment Yentos just refused to eat it so I switch and since then he has a better coat, stool is much better.

Like I wrote in the other topic "meat", I used to give my dog Royal Canin or Hills, but he dosent like it and he never did gain any waight with that kind of food, so now I give him raw meat, cow stomach, dry food(Triumph half foder) mixed with calcium and B+E vitamins. Sometimes I give him a mixed meat food who is allready done to serve so I dont have to give any calcium or vitamines with it...

Ok, what about other like breeders or people with more dogs. I would really like to know apart from home prepared meals or raw barf diet what dog kibble do you use? Im sure some of you do.
I only know what my breeder uses and that is Royal Canin.

Mine eat even pictures from the cookbook, if possible...
My puppies eat now Bento Kronen, and older dogs eat finnish J&V or actually whatever I happen to buy. I like J&V, because it has linenseed and oat, and oat is very good for my dogs.
Also i make certain porridge for my dogs with oat, rice, barley, carrots, minced meat and stuff. They love it. One rottbreeder has developed the receipe and I have just added oat in it.
I've had digestion problems only in my C-litter, but also half-sibling by paternal side had some problems, so...?

Coffee and love are something you just can't warm up again.
Hello, we brought up our last 2 litters with Proplan puppy, the mothers milk untill the age of 8 week and water. And that was all. all pups grew well, did not have any trouble with digestion etc. The 3 grownups also only have Proplan. We are very content with it.
I've tried everything from Science diet (back in the 90s). Also Proplan, biljac and Royal Canin. I like the Chicken Soup brand. For the price and quality of it you cant beat it. I've had 4 dogs on it from 8 weeks old to 10 years old and all did great. Plus less waste to pick up
I gave Bento Kronen when the dog was a puppy, but it didnt work good for her, she didn't gain much weight and was always having more or less a bad stomach...
After talking to the people in the local petshop I decided to try Nutro performance because it contained a lot of meat and was easily digested. It has been working really good for her, now for 1 1/2 years and I don't see any point in changing food.
Occasionally she's been given royal canin, that was good for her aswell. But the swedish Doggy she cant really digest, she shits a lot when she eats it and get skinnier. But Doggy works fine for my parents older dogs, but they are just "pet-active" and have strong stomachs.
I was feeding Royal canine, but I have switched to Canidae all stages. I think it is as close to natural as you can get in a kibble. It has the most meat out of a kibble that I know of.

i have five dogs and feed them all with K9 hi performance. It is cheap (our 'club' gets it on whole sales price - that is really good idea, three or four people with two or more dogs can easily get wholesales prices from dealer) and my dogs like it (working ones will eat anything, but i can tell by my mutt -he won't eat pedigree or such food ), have dry stool and are healthy and have nice coats. Also i don't have to feed nearly as much food as i would have if i were feeding some weaker food (maintainence or something).
Few years ago, when i had only one dog (and big allergy problem dog also) i used to feed canidae. That is excelent dog food, but now i really can't afford it.
It's 'all life stages' formula is excelent, because nowdays puppy food is - i don't know, they grow like mad from it. Mine got pano and i switched him to adult food at 4 months (as breeder told me) and it passed...
