Hi all So pleased to find this site and be able to meet other BSD enthusiasts from around the world and learn After many years of running other people's Tervs in Agility, I finally have one of my own. She is just 1 year old now and doing some breed showing at present. She has heaps of drive and an impeccable termperament and I'm thrilled with her. Looking forward to learning from you all!!! Welcome here. What is the name of your dog? Maybe you can post some pictures?

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
Hi Saskia Thanks for this. My girl's name is Kindle - or La Echelon N-Zed Inferno and I have added a couple of photos into the gallery (Terv file). Fiona
Hi Rui Yes from New Zealand :-) We have quite a good little BSD community here now. Many competing in obedience and agility as well as numbers increasing in the show ring too. Huge celebrations last weekend with the qualification of New Zealands first Agility Champion Belgian - a Terv named Ruby - a truely spectacular dog to watch!! Thanks for the welcome Fiona
nice greyish girl you have . Are Belgians (any variety) popular in the show ring and in agility competitions in general? We have some in agility and mostly none in the show ring in our country. Are most Belgians bred in NZ or do you import dogs from Europe (or anywhere else) frequently?
Greetings to both of you,
Ursa

Hi Ursa I don't think there are any Lakenois in the country here and only a very few Mals - only one of which I know having been show but two doing agility. Agility in NZ follows (roughly) the English system and has been well extablished here now for about 20 years. There are a few more Groenies and often a few in the show ring and quite a few doing agility here. Tervs went through a less popular period a few years ago having been in the country only about 20 years but are having somehting of a revival in the last few years with good imports coming in - mostly via Aussie from European lines and one from America (an Iceman son) so the gene pool is improving all the time. Currently getting more Tervs in agility and have been quite a few in obedience for some years. There are currently probably a dozen or so being breed shown in the North Island at present. 3 of us in the Wellington area are at shows together at present which is lovely - nice to have some company at the shows!!! Mid-winter here at present and shows this weekend (indoors luckily!) although we don't have the cold some of you have to put up with!!! Kin is my mate and is such a delight to have around - huge sense of humour and heaps of fun to do things with - and certainly a change from the BCs I've had in the past. Regards Fiona H Upper Hutt NZ
