Patrick how do you teach yours dog to jump that high? My dog loves jumping and I train agility with him, but he would allways jump just little above the hurdle no matter how low or high it is.
indeed, we strap an inner tire of a bycicle about 10 cm above the highest board of the jump... If the dog tries to stand on it it gives in, and leaves him with a strange "moving ground" experience... If you do that for a while you dog learns to lift his hiney higher. Second trick is to train on jumps that are 10 cm higher than the jumps used on trials, it just gets a habit to jump higher.
Well I did try with an elastic rope tide on the top and I have to tell you it did work, not just for my dog, for all the dogs training the jump. So thank you for the tip...
