I hope you find him a good home soon, but for the record; no dog wants to be the only dog. They are packanimals.

I would not agree with Diesels comment. No dog wants to be alone yes... some dogs just dont want to be with other dogs, but people only. I had a bitch that was very stressed when living with me having other dogs in the same household. I got her when she was 8months old and I dont know what had happened at the breeders home where she came to me, but I know she was living in a pack of two other dogs.
Now she was acting totally different when ocationally my other dog was away from home. She was usually very hyper active and had hard time relaxing, but when my other dog was away she was totally relaxed and acted more calm, she listened to me better and really looked like she enjoyed more being the only dog in the house. This was the reason I gave her away so that she could be the only dog in the house. Such a difference in her after a while! Her coat had totally changed and her behaviour as well, seemed like she had been stresseing but when being the only dog, that stress factor was gone. I am glad that I found out what was bothering her so that she could have more happy life.

It's when man f.cks up that dog can almost compleetly ditch their natural instincs. Almost i said. As in the right pack even thàt dog will function just fine. The basicinstincts are eat, drink, preserving the bloodline and belonging to a pack. The trouble is finding the right pack. I never said thàt was easy or even in the worst case it might even be impossible. He might do better at a house where he would be the only dog. But that does not mean he wants be the only dog. It is just more difficult to find a pack that would match him.
