I would love to know what is up with the scores. We always seem to do so-so when we go overseas. I do know people that have done well, but it seems to be the minority.

the opposition from the decoys was brutal and many of the players and dogs had problems -
level 3 less than 1/3 "Q'd"

for me to be in the top 50% is excellant considering normally I have no regular decoy or team and have to do most by myself, 3 of the 4 us dogs were left in frankfurt for an extra 8 hours in travel -ysha was traveling for over 36 hours and didn't eat for 2 1/2 days AND in full blown heat. I had 8 hrs sleep in 3 days and I broke a nail Crazy 2 and had to wait for 12 hours to play
in the US, many people don't train enough like trial, which is how many of the best in Europe do- a full team helping each other to bring up the best

to me all players who walked on the field gave a good show and as seen by Spain's placing at level 3, we just need to work more and get more help from the great trainers from Belgiam, France, Switzerland and so forth who generously share their knowledge

ps
in switzerland
Ysha was 3/12 on her first level 1 trial
and 2/6 on her 3rd level 2 trial
to me, not so bad....

pps ALL the US teams found the decoy in the search and it was not easy at level 2 and even harder at level 3

I wasn't specifically refering to MR. I have seen some people go in Sch and FR and get crushed.

I do see a lot of problems in MR that we won't be able to fix for some time.....if ever. I do know what it is like to be short on decoys. I have one that can catch the maniac free. I also am experiencing the joy of his dislike of new decoys. I think the official term is forward nerves. Pitone said he was unconcious on the bite. I lost about every single GA point known to man due to this. Roll Eyes

I can also see the decoy's being too much. I know here the only decoys that are usually too much, are the last people you would want to work your dog. The rest of us know how hard it is to get a decent dog, ect ect.

So, to be sure I wasn't making fun, heck I got crushed here with a really really nice judge. Buko was doing pretty dang well, ( I was not) until the jump..........Then he started staring at the judge, and ignored the command to jump, then proceded to make it look like I had never trained the jump (hurdle) in his or my life. Angry

He held himself in the bitework until he was told to attack, but then after that..........Oh Boy!!!! I had to go get him. This is where I lost GA points, and my mind.

Still had fun though. Thanks for answering.
