newbie from suffolk
« on: May 29, 2007, 05:01:59 PM »

Hi there everyone!  Smiley my name is Steph, I am the proud owner of a Belgian Terv, 10 months, a Gsd ,6, and a 3 yr old Springer spaniel.
(I have 4 young kids Too!)
this is the gang

and this is Foxy my tervuren, my first Belgian

She came to us as a 4 month old, I bought her from someone who couldn't cope with a puppy, she was unsocialised and nervous and this has been hard work! 6 months on, we have overcome her food aggression, dislike of grooming,  fear of people, traffic and noise, but she is still a bit of a problem around strange dogs, Evil we are working on that one! generally she is a lovely girl, full of life and VERY energetic, but great with the kids!  angel
I am a pet portrait artist, feel free to check out my site!  Cheesy  I am also a forum Junkie! looking forward to chatting to you all! Steph.

Its very good that you have commissions  Afro. The standard is not very high among the pet portrait artists, some are very good, some are excellent, and the rest are well... not so good. The standard is allot higher among the wildlife artists though. The biggest problem is to be seen, I work allot more with my web site then I thought I ever will. Well, its hard to make a living with only painting pet portraits. Some people say it takes 10 years to be able to make a living out of it.  Undecided
Its fun to meet a soul mate, somebody who likes to paint animals AND owns a Tervueren..lol
