OK, but does he bite??? All is forgiven if so....... Tongue

In the first set of pics, he looks to short in the back, and the second too long. This is why he should bite, that way nobody cares! Plus a lot more fun for him.

That is exactly why I don't like judging based on photo's.

Now don't worry.  Yentos is actually also a bit too long in back but I have learned to position him correctly so he looks square and yes he can bite and loves it.  If only I had the right support back then  Angry, he might still be doing it.

I am now looking for a new dog but I am still doubting which way to go.  I want to do Belgian Ring again but I am afraid that opinions haven't changed and I don't feel like fighting a battle on my own.  In that case there will be no gain for me.  Sad and I will choose a different sport.

Riot does Search and Rescue work, Obedience, RallyO, Agility, Conformation hes one busy boy. I want a multi purpose Belgian. One that was born to work but could show on his "day off" type dog lol

I DID want him to get into the French Ring/Schutzhund work BUT.. unfortunately the club that was around here had to be shut down due to the government enforcing a new bylaw with the "bite dogs".. Ridiculous to me.

We did do some work as a pup though when the bylaw wasn't there. He has/had a fabulous "off"!

Its fabulous to read such detailed descriptions about the breed. I'm still learning about them as well.
I do get some FABULOUS help and have learned everything I know from the chairman of the Belgian Shepherd Club of Canada. She took me under her wing when Riot was little and has done such a fabulous job! She has gone with me from show to show.

Fabulous off in bitework? Meaning like... what?

About the conformation, the dog surely is not too short more like too long. Few things are not that ok, the little you can say about pics only, like upper arm is too short and straight and back, especially loin area, is too rounded. In the headshots his muzzle seems to lack chiselining, but it is always a bit hard to say on pics only.
