I've been thinking what is it with this breed that makes one so enthisiastic about it once the first puppy has come into house... I could not think of having some other breed since I got my first dog at the age of 9. Now I've had groenendaels 17years! And somehow it doesn't stop there... It's contagious! Among my relatives there are 4 other belgians with a different owners.
I do not notice the difference in my all day surrounding but I do notice the difference at dog school. There are a lot of Mali and Tervs. Apparently color does matter since we do not have groenendael at our school .
One thing is certain: I don't want anything else.

Go out and get a Australian cattle dog. This breed maybe changes your thinking some. VERY interesting dogs. When I get old, I am going to have just these dogs. I will be too broken to move much, and they will not mind, and play anyway. Not bugging me all the time like my Mal.
Yes, the Mal can really be a pain in the ass . Right now he is in the zen at home though, sitting and looking at nothing. I would pick an australian shepherd in my next life, but I hered they are also making fun of their owners all the time.
best, hunden
